Who will face off during the Billie Jean King Cup Finals?

The stage is set for the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals after the official draw was held in Shenzhen, China.       

Eight teams will now step up their preparations for the showpiece event, which will take place at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre Arena from Sept. 22-27.

Defending world champions Italy, aiming for their third consecutive title, have been drawn against host nation China for a second successive year.

The remaining quarter-finals will see Ukraine take on Belgium, Kazakhstan face Spain and Czechia play Great Britain.

The Billie Jean King Cup is the largest annual international team competition in women’s sport. A record 148 nations entered this year.

Host nation China joins the seven winning teams from April’s Qualifiers at this year’s Finals. Italy, Belgium, Czechia and Spain are bidding to add to their tallies of Billie Jean King Cup titles, while China, Great Britain, Kazakhstan and Ukraine are aiming to lift the trophy for the first time.

Italy (1) v China, P.R.
Ukraine (3) v Belgium

Kazakhstan v Spain (4)
Czechia v Great Britain (2)

The schedule for the Finals will be announced in the coming days, with ticket details to be announced in due course.

All ties at the Finals will comprise three matches — two singles matches followed by a doubles match. All matches will be played as best-of-three tiebreak sets.
