Bounce Creative Studio Brings a New Approach to Racquet Sports Marketing

Bounce Creative Studio was built around a simple idea: the people marketing racquet sports should understand the sports themselves.

Founded by Ana Tejedor, Bounce is a creative studio focused on tennis, padel, pickleball and the broader racquet sports industry. The company works with clubs, brands and athletes, combining marketing expertise with firsthand knowledge of the sports and communities it serves.

“We understand your sport,” Ana said. “Our team has a background in sports, so we know the industry and understand what we’re creating.”

The idea for Bounce emerged while Ana was working for a padel club in Miami. She noticed that many of the agencies and freelancers creating content for racquet sports businesses did not fully understand the sports themselves. One moment in particular helped confirm that there was an opportunity to do something different: an agency delivered a padel marketing asset depicting a player serving overhead like in tennis.

“That’s when I realized there was a gap in the market,” Ana said. “There are sports marketing agencies, but I didn’t see many that were specifically focused on tennis, padel, pickleball and racquet sports.”

Rather than operating as a traditional high-volume agency, Bounce intentionally maintains a smaller client roster, allowing its team to focus closely on each brand and its specific goals.

“We’re boutique on purpose,” Ana said. “We don’t take on a lot of clients because I really want to stay on top of everything and help each one grow.”

The foundation for Bounce, however, goes back much further in Ana’s life.

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Ana first picked up a racquet around age four and began taking tennis seriously at 13. As a teenager, she moved to Port St. Lucie to train full-time, with the support of her family.

“My parents knew how passionate I was and that tennis was what I wanted to pursue,” Ana said. “I decided I was going to bet on myself and give it everything I had.”

Her commitment eventually earned her an opportunity to play Division I tennis at the University of California, Irvine. But just months before starting college, Ana suffered a serious foot and ankle injury while competing in France. Complications left her unable to play or even walk normally for an extended period, forcing her to spend more than a year away from the court, much of that time bedridden.

“It was honestly really tough,” Ana said. “Tennis was all I did — waking up, training and competing. Going from such an active lifestyle to suddenly not being able to play was very difficult mentally.”

During her recovery, Ana began taking courses in marketing fundamentals, digital marketing and social media, discovering another field that captured her interest.

“That’s where I found another passion,” she said. “I knew I wanted to combine my passion for sports with marketing and find a way to make a career out of both.”

Ana still wanted to attend college in the United States and eventually earned an academic scholarship to the University of Miami, where she studied marketing and exercise physiology. Her experiences in tennis, education and marketing would ultimately come together in the creation of Bounce.

For Ana, understanding the sport is only part of the equation. She believes successful marketing also requires brands to establish what makes them different and give customers a reason to care.

“You need to have clear positioning around how you’re different and what you’re offering,” she said. “Don’t lose yourself trying to follow trends or copy what worked for someone else. Be yourself, know who you are as a brand, and build from there.”

She has already seen that approach produce results. While working with Padel X, Ana says she helped grow its social media presence organically from approximately 5,500 followers to 14,000 in eight months without paid advertising.

Today, Bounce works with clubs, brands and athletes looking to strengthen their presence and build their brands within the racquet sports industry.

For Ana, Bounce also represents how an unexpected change in direction can ultimately create a new opportunity.

“I was devastated when I couldn’t play college tennis because that had always been my dream,” she said. “But maybe if I had been able to play, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Everything I went through is part of why I founded Bounce.”
