Agassi, Graf, Navratilova and the Bryan Brothers Lead a Tennis Legends Takeover in Santa Fe

Santa Fe is about to have one seriously overqualified tennis clinic.

Andre Agassi, Stefanie Graf, Martina Navratilova, Mats Wilander, Tracy Austin and Bob and Mike Bryan are among more than 20 tennis legends and former touring pros scheduled to descend on New Mexico on October 17 for a day supporting First Serve New Mexico.

The private event at Forked Lightning Racquet Club will put some of the sport's most accomplished players on court with young athletes from the First Serve program, with clinics, hitting sessions and a team tennis exhibition on the schedule.

And apparently 154 combined major titles aren't enough entertainment: the Bryan Bros. Band is also scheduled to perform.

The headliners are only part of the lineup. Luke and Murphy Jensen, Mark Knowles, Justin Gimelstob, Jan-Michael Gambill, Brad Gilbert, John Isner, Steve Johnson, Brian MacPhie, T.J. Middleton, Nick Monroe and Sam Querrey are also expected to participate.

“This year’s event is spectacular with many legends in the sport coming to Santa Fe to support the foundation,” said First Serve New Mexico president Angelique Cook Lowry. “It will be a thrill for the FSNM kids to have the opportunity to meet and hit with many of the former pros.”

The gathering comes at an especially good time for its host venue. Forked Lightning Racquet Club was recently named the USTA's 2026 Featured Facility of the Year, the organization's highest facility honor.

Opened in October 2025, the Santa Fe complex includes six indoor and six outdoor tennis courts and serves as the home of First Serve New Mexico. The nonprofit provides free after-school programming and summer camps combining tennis instruction, academics and life-skills development for students in grades 3 through 12.

First Serve isn't designed as a casual drop-in tennis program. Students commit to participating for at least a full school year, and many remain involved for six years or more.

That makes the October 17 gathering considerably more interesting than a standard legends exhibition. Kids who spend their afternoons studying and training at Forked Lightning will suddenly find themselves across the net from some of the greatest players the sport has produced.

Not a bad day at tennis practice.
