What's the real secret weapon of America's top player Taylor Fritz?

ATP world No. 6 Taylor Fritz has performed well this year.  He'll conclude 2025, once again, as America's top player. He's been able to fend off other American hopefuls moving up the rankings — including the likes of Ben Shelton, Tommy Paul, and Frances Tiafoe. And even though Fritz is known for his big serve, you might be surprised by what he considers his secret weapon.

“My sleep routine has a massive impact on my performance on the court. It is one of the most important parts of me playing well and having good results... getting a really good night’s sleep before my matches. It is always one of my top priorities,” Fritz says in a recent interview.

Fritz adds, “The impact that a great night of sleep has on my performance the next day is massive. I can feel it. I always feel more locked in and focused. It makes such a bigger impact than a lot of people realize.”
