VibroStretching: The Revolutionary Recovery Method Changing Tennis

An exclusive interview with Hanna Turchak, founder of StretchOn Space in Boca Raton.

A revolutionary technique that helps tennis players move more freely, recover faster, increase their range of motion, reduce the risk of injury, and reach a new level of performance.

In this exclusive interview, Hanna Turchak, founder of the first vibrostretching and recovery studio in the United States — StretchOn Space in Boca Raton — and author of specialized recovery programs for tennis players and athletes of all levels, shares how this innovative technology helps players unlock their body’s full potential and enhance their on-court performance.

VibroStretching, a method based on the principles of biomechanical stimulation, has already transformed the way professional athletes in Europe train and recover — and is now rapidly taking over the tennis world in the United States.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
Hanna, you founded the first vibrostretching studio in the United States — StretchOn Space. Can you tell us what vibrostretching is and how it differs from traditional stretching that athletes are used to?

Hanna Turchak:
Simply put, vibrostretching is a modern form of stretching and recovery based on the method of biomechanical stimulation (BMS), developed by Professor Vladimir Nazarov for training the Soviet Olympic teams.

The method uses physiologically precise longitudinal vibrations that travel along the muscle fibers in the range of 20–30 Hz — the same frequency at which muscles naturally contract.

When tissues receive this gentle and targeted stimulation, they begin to work in their natural rhythm. This creates an effect of deep yet safe stretching, improving blood circulation, elasticity, and neuromuscular coordination.

As a result, the body becomes more flexible, movements feel freer, and recovery after exertion happens several times faster.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
You mentioned that vibrostretching works through longitudinal vibrations. How does this method differ from other vibration-based technologies, such as vibration platforms or percussion massage devices?

Hanna Turchak:
The difference is fundamental. Vibrostretching works along the muscle fibers, while most other technologies act transversely or through percussive impact.

Our frequency range of 20–30 Hz matches the natural rhythm of muscle contractions, allowing the stimulation to occur physiologically — without causing microtrauma.

This type of stimulation doesn’t damage tissue; instead, it activates natural processes — improving microcirculation, tissue nourishment, neuromuscular connection, and movement control.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
That sounds like technology from the future. Why is it particularly important for tennis players?

Hanna Turchak:
Tennis is a sport where every millisecond of reaction time and every degree of movement amplitude can determine the outcome of a rally.

Players perform hundreds of strokes and sprints each day, accumulating microtraumas and overloading the shoulders, knees, and lower back. During just one hour of play, a tennis player performs an average of 350 strokes — each serve generating up to 70 newtons of load.

That’s why recovery isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity.

For tennis players, flexibility isn’t just about stretching — it’s the functional foundation for a powerful serve, precise torso rotation, and quick footwork.

VibroStretching helps by:
• Opening the hip joints for deeper steps and more stability
• Improving shoulder mobility for powerful serves and overheads
• Lengthening the hamstring line to increase speed and efficiency
• Releasing tension in the thoracic spine and shoulders

After our sessions, players report a sense of lightness in their bodies — movements become smoother, and strokes more powerful. It’s what professionals call “pure body movement.”

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
Would you say that vibrostretching improves not only flexibility but also overall performance?

Hanna Turchak:
Absolutely. When the body is freed from tension, it begins to function as a single, well-coordinated system.

Muscle stiffness disappears, neuromuscular communication improves, and movements become faster, more precise, and more efficient.

This directly impacts stroke power, reaction speed, coordination, and stability on the court.

It also stimulates the receptors responsible for motor memory, helping the body “remember” correct movement patterns. This means vibrostretching aids both recovery and technical improvement.

Many players — from professionals to college athletes and amateurs — report noticeable results after just a few sessions.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
You mentioned the Nazarov method has Olympic roots. Could you share more about that history?

Hanna Turchak:
Yes, it’s a fascinating story. The biomechanical stimulation method was created by Professor Vladimir Nazarov, working with Soviet Olympic teams in collaboration with scientific institutes.

Modern studies confirm its effectiveness in improving flexibility, range of motion, recovery speed, and coordination.

Today, decades later, the method is returning globally in a modernized form — as VibroStretching.

We’ve adapted it to contemporary sports, integrated modern stretching techniques, and made it accessible to athletes at all levels — from ATP and WTA pros to juniors and amateurs.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
What does a vibrostretching session look like, and what do athletes feel during it?

Hanna Turchak:
Each session begins with a short assessment to identify individual needs. Training takes place on a specialized vibration trainer that creates gentle oscillations along the muscle fibers.

During the session, the muscles seem to “wake up”: the body feels lighter, fatigue fades, and there’s a pleasant sense of warmth and active circulation. Each session lasts about an hour.

We offer three specialized programs:

• Activation: before training or matches, to prepare the muscles.
Recovery: after heavy loads, to release tension and boost circulation.
Development Protocol: to enhance flexibility and coordination.

All programs are safe and easily integrated into any training cycle. Results are often noticeable after the first session.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
Who is vibrostretching suitable for — only professionals, or everyone?

Hanna Turchak:
It’s truly universal. ATP and WTA pros, ITF juniors, college athletes, and amateurs all use it.

Programs are personalized to match each person’s goals — from recovery to injury prevention or skill enhancement.

We also work with coaches, tennis parents, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to move better and understand their body.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
Can this method also help athletes in other sports or people focused on general wellness?

Hanna Turchak:
Yes, absolutely. VibroStretching is beneficial for golf, football, gymnastics, swimming, and many other disciplines.

The principle is the same — recovery, injury prevention, and mobility improvement without strain.

Beyond sports, we offer programs such as:
Healthy Back – strengthens deep muscles and relieves chronic tension.
Weight Loss & Body Shaping – improves metabolism and tone.
Active Longevity – maintains joint mobility and overall wellness.

We also use the Sobolev Trainer, which safely activates deep back muscles, helping with posture, rehabilitation, and even children’s preventive training.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
StretchOn Space became the first vibrostretching studio in the U.S., located in Florida. How do you see its future?

Hanna Turchak:
StretchOn Space in Boca Raton is the first U.S. studio to officially apply the Nazarov Method.

We’re collaborating with tennis academies and training centers across Florida to introduce the StretchOn Zone Recovery format — on-site recovery areas where players can warm up and recover between matches.

Interest is growing fast — players and coaches feel the results immediately. We plan to open new studios and partner zones throughout Florida and then expand nationwide.

We’ll also launch a franchise-style partnership model so new studios can open under the StretchOn brand with full training and marketing support.

Our goal is to make vibrostretching accessible across the U.S. — helping people train smarter, recover faster, and feel better.

Osvaldo Godoy, Florida Tennis:
And finally, how would you describe the philosophy behind StretchOn Space?

Hanna Turchak:
Our philosophy is simple: the body is the athlete’s main instrument — the better it functions, the purer and more effortless the game becomes.

We don’t just stretch muscles; we restore the body’s natural harmony, freedom, and functionality.

It’s about recovery, awareness, and strength — helping players move consciously, freely, and efficiently.

When the body works in its natural rhythm, it’s not just a match that’s won — the entire system wins.
