US Open Mixed Doubles Tennis Field Includes Sabalenka, Djokovic, Swiatek, Ruud, Osaka and More

The 2026 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship presented by Vital Proteins is set to bring another star-packed tennis lineup to New York.

The USTA announced the initial list of teams officially entered into the event, which will be played from Monday, Aug. 24, to Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The reimagined mixed doubles championship returns for its second year after a record-setting 2025 debut that helped put the format in a much brighter spotlight during US Open week.

This year’s initial entry list includes some of the biggest names in the sport, with Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud, Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz, Alex Eala and Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper, Naomi Osaka and Kei Nishikori, and defending champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori among the teams entered.

Other teams on the initial list include Mirra Andreeva and Andrey Rublev, Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli, Diana Shnaider and Daniil Medvedev, Amanda Anisimova and Learner Tien, Leylah Fernandez and Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Townsend and Alexander Zverev, Elena-Gabriela Ruse and Nuno Borges, Katerina Siniakova and Henry Patten, and Peyton Stearns and Preston Stearns.

The elevated mixed doubles event won Sports Business Journal’s Sports Breakthrough of the Year award for its 2025 reimagination. The 2026 edition will expand the competition to include qualifying, along with global broadcast distribution and primetime ESPN coverage.

The Mixed Doubles Championship is an innovation that will engage new audiences and give our fans another opportunity to see the biggest stars compete together.”

The entry window will close at noon on Monday, Aug. 17. At that time, the top six teams with the best combined singles ranking will be directly accepted into the main draw. Eight teams will be selected by wild card and announced later, while two teams will earn main draw spots through an eight-team qualifying draw on Monday, Aug. 24. The qualifying field will feature six direct entries and two wild cards.

Vital Proteins will return as presenting sponsor of the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship as part of a multi-year US Open partnership renewal. The brand is also the Official Collagen Partner of the US Open and will have an on-site presence during the championship through product sampling, interactive fan experiences and other wellness-focused activations.

The 2025 event drew 78,000 fans to the US Open grounds, sold out Arthur Ashe Stadium on both days of competition, drove more than 2 million fans to the US Open mobile app and website, and set a single-day record with 12.8 million views on the US Open YouTube channel.

The 2026 championship begins with qualifying on Monday, Aug. 24, in Grandstand, with matches free to attend through a Fan Access Pass. The first round and quarterfinals will be played Tuesday, Aug. 25, in Louis Armstrong Stadium and Arthur Ashe Stadium. The semifinals and final are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26, under the lights in Arthur Ashe Stadium.

ESPN will present the 2026 US Open, including US Open qualifying and the Mixed Doubles Championship, beginning Monday, Aug. 24. Tickets for the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship are available through Ticketmaster and USOpen.org.
