US Open breaks records, CHUBB renews, 'Taste of Tennis' heats up NYC

After so much action at the US Open, it's great to be back in sunny Florida. Beyond all the attention showered on Sabalenka and Sinner, there are still a few news items streaming in from the Big Apple.

A new record has been set at the American Grand Slam in Flushing Meadows! The US Open surpassed one million attendees for the first time in 2024, with 1,048,669 fans coming to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center throughout the Open's full three weeks — an eight-percent increase over 2023. Meanwhile, attendance for the two weeks of the Main Draw reached a new high mark of 832,640.

Another sponsor has renewed for the US Open. The USTA and Chubb have signed a multi-year partnership renewal, extending Chubb’s designation as the Official Insurance Sponsor of the US Open. The extended agreement begins in 2025. Chubb and the USTA first partnered in 2020 and decided to renew during the record-setting 2024 US Open.

And this year's Citi 'Taste of Tennis' event in New York was an absolute ace! Over 600 guests, sponsors, media, and the biggest stars in tennis took over Gotham Hall where they enjoyed delicious 5-star cuisine, signature cocktails, and danced the night away to an epic set from DJ Irie.
