Matt Pressman has an extensive background in tennis, media, and magazines. He acquired Florida Tennis magazine in 2023 to expand both the print publication and its digital presence.

Pressman was a standout junior player who lived and trained at Saddlebrook Resort's Harry Hopman Tennis Academy in Tampa. After his time at the academy, Pressman returned to his home in Connecticut to privately train with Brian Barker — former coach of world no. 4 James Blake. Pressman’s high school tennis team went on to win the Connecticut State Championship. Soon after, Pressman received a Division 1 athletic scholarship to attend the University of Connecticut where he served as Captain of the men’s tennis team. At UCONN, he was honored as a Big East Academic All-Star.

Pressman started his career in New York working at a number of magazines including Men’s Fitness and Quincy Jones' VIBE magazine where he served as Associate Publisher. He went on to launch an advertising agency, Project 2050, and worked with world-renowned Creative Director and street art legend Shepard Fairey. Pressman was featured on the cover of Advertising Age and worked with an impressive client roster including Nike, Target, EA Sports, and Virgin.

In 2012, Pressman started a family and moved to Florida, where he launched another business, EVANNEX, which became the first company to offer automotive parts and accessories for Tesla and other electric vehicle owners. He appeared multiple times on PBS and Fox Business News to discuss Tesla and Elon Musk. EVANNEX was sold in 2021 to Enthusiast Auto Holdings and private equity firm Cortec Group.
