U.S. Leads All Nations with 30 Players Earning Direct Entry to US Open

World No. 1s and reigning US Open singles champions Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner lead their respective fields, followed by 2023 US Open champion Coco Gauff and 2022 US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz, who are both ranked No. 2 in the world.
The field includes 18 total former Grand Slam singles champions, including 10 former US Open champions.
The United States leads all nations with 30 players (16 women and 14 men) earning direct entry into the tournament.
The American women are led by No. 2 Gauff, No. 4 Jessica Pegula, No. 7 Amanda Anisimova, and No. 8 Madison Keys, while the American men in the field include Top-10 players Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton.

Nine total players are using special or protected rankings, including Petra Kvitova (No. 14), Nick Kyrgios (No. 21) and Sorana Cirstea (No. 37).
Both the men’s and women’s entries were based on the July 14 rankings. The women’s cutoff was No. 99, while the men’s cutoff was No. 101.
The 2025 US Open Singles Main Draw runs Sunday, Aug. 24, to Sunday, Sept. 7, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. Fan Week, which features the Qualifying Tournament and the Mixed Doubles Championship, begins on Monday, Aug. 18.
