If there was ever a time for a tennis fan in Florida to plan a vacation to Brazil, it's now. The Rio Open is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The tournament takes place at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro from February 17th - 25th. And the biggest tennis tournament in South America is also boasting a star-studded lineup.
Last year's champion, Cameron Norrie, returns to Rio de Janeiro to defend his title along with Carlos Alcaraz, Stanislas Wawrinka, and Arthur Fils who've also confirmed they'll be playing the ATP 500 tournament.

“I am very happy to return to Rio de Janeiro. It was one of my most special weeks of the year, not only because of the title, but because of what I experienced in the city, the connection with the public and my visit to Rocinha and the social tennis project. It was very impactful,” Norrie said.
Alcaraz is also enthusiastic about the Rio Open. “I am very happy to play the Rio Open in 2024. The tournament is special for me. It was where I won my first ATP match and where I won my first ATP 500. I have a special relationship with the fans, I'm excited to be in Rio again,” said Alcaraz.

"It will be special to have Norrie, alongside Alcaraz, fighting to see who could be the first two-time Rio Open champion. Norrie has proven himself to be a competitive player on all surfaces and will only add to our line up with the best on clay,” said Luiz Carvalho, Tournament Director of the Rio Open.
“Seeing the Rio Open reach its 10th anniversary is a source of great joy and pride ... The next edition will be marked by exciting moments. On and off the courts,” said Marcia Casz, General Manager of the Rio Open.
