The women’s quarterfinals start today. After the eight women’s fourth round matches on Monday, two quarterfinals take place Tuesday. Sixth seed Jasmine Paolini came back to beat Naomi Osaka in three sets and will face Magda Linette, who conquered No. 3 Coco Gauff. In the night quarterfinal, top seed Aryna Sabalenka, who ousted 2024 champion Danielle Collins in the fourth round, will take on No. 9 Zheng Qinwen in a rematch of the 2024 Australian Open final won by Sabalenka.

In the other four Round of 16 women’s matches on Monday, American Jessica Pegula won to set up a Wednesday quarterfinal against Emma Raducanu, who reached her first Miami Open quarterfinal, and 19-year-old wild card Alexandra Eala advanced to her first WTA Tour quarterfinal with a walkover after Paula Badosa withdrew with an injury. Eala’s reward is a match against No. 2 Iga Swiatek, the 2022 Miami Open winner.
