So what's happening today?

Brazilian samba dancers, drummers, DJs and specialty cocktails will be part of the scene across campus for Brazilian Heritage Day presented by Itaú.

On court, both the WTA and ATP will have first round matches underway Wednesday which will see the first match action in the stadium as well as the tournament’s first night session.

The WTA first round continues with three-time Miami Open champion Victoria Azarenka in action as well as 2021 US Open winner Emma Raducanu. The ATP will get their main draw underway, and athleticism will be on full display with Gael Monfils and Nick Kyrgios both in action on Stadium Court. It will be a fitting end to the day when Brazil’s Thiago Seyboth Wild closes out the night against Quentin Halys

And — good news! The Miami Open presented by Itaú has announced the intended sessions for several marquee matches over the tournament’s opening rounds.

Thursday Day (Session 5): World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka begins the hunt for her first Miami Open title, while Florida native Coco Gauff will face 2020 Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin.

Thursday Night (Session 6): It will be a teen takeover as 18-year-old Brazilian Joao Fonseca faces 19-year-old American Learner Tien before Danielle Collins begins her Miami Open title defense.

Friday Day (Session 7): Six-time champion Novak Djokovic returns for his first match here since 2019 while fellow Miami Open winners Iga Swiatek and Daniil Medvedev will also be in action.

Friday Night (Session 8): Carlos Alcaraz, the 2022 Miami Open champion, returns to Hard Rock Stadium, as does Australian Open champion Madison Keys, who has won 18 of her 20 matches this season.
