McEnroe brothers to play first pro tennis exhibition match in the Serengeti

Looking for an adventure this winter? If you're a tennis fan, this December something truly unique is going down in sports history. John and Patrick McEnroe are hosting an 8-day Serengeti Safari and Tennis Experience that looks pretty wild.

The kicker: witness the McEnroe brothers play the world’s first-ever pro tennis exhibition in the heart of the Serengeti. The Tanzania Tourism Board and Wildlife Authority will be building a special tennis court for the occasion.

Guests will also get a chance to join John and Patrick as they visit a traditional Maasai village in Ngorongoro Crater to bring goodwill, cultural exchange, and introduce the Maasai youth to the game of tennis.

"Increasing interest in tennis in Africa has long been a goal. To me, it's always been a worldwide game. The win would be to make the game more accessible," explains tennis legend John McEnroe.

The excursion takes place in Tanzania where guests will venture into the Serengeti, known as the 8th wonder of the world, and the birthplace of the Safari. Africa’s stunning landscapes, big game, and local culture of the Maasai people all combine for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Travel packages will set you back a few thousand bucks — maxing out with the, ahem, "You Cannot Be Serious" VIP Package. Your best bet might be Fandiem where you can “Donate To Win” (for as little as $10) and support the Johnny Mac Tennis Project and Playing For Change which help transform young peoples’ lives.
