Miami-Based JAB Insurance Steps Onto the Global Tennis Stage as Cerúndolo Joins Laver Cup

Miami-based JAB Insurance is stepping onto one of tennis’ most distinctive global stages as the Laver Cup returns to London later this month — and Team World just added another familiar face. 

Francisco Cerúndolo will make his fourth consecutive Laver Cup appearance after joining Andre Agassi’s Team World for the September 25-27 event at The O2. The Argentine replaces Tommy Paul, who withdrew while continuing to recover from an elbow injury sustained at the US Open.

Cerúndolo joins Alex de Minaur, Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, Alexander Bublik and Learner Tien on a Team World roster captained by Agassi. He has compiled a 3-1 singles record across his first three Laver Cup appearances and was part of Team World’s championship runs in Vancouver in 2023 and San Francisco in 2025.

“I’m really excited to be back with Team World for my fourth Laver Cup,” Cerúndolo said. “I have so many great memories from the event. It’s a unique experience getting to know your teammates and playing for each other. I’m looking forward to being back with the team in London.”

For JAB Insurance, London represents a debut of a different kind.

The Miami-headquartered company signed a two-year agreement with Laver Cup in August, becoming the event’s Official Insurance Sponsor. The deal is JAB Insurance’s first global sports sponsorship and gives the company exclusive Laver Cup category rights across insurance, reinsurance, insurance brokerage, insurtech and risk-transfer services.

The brand will be difficult to miss. JAB Insurance signage is set to appear throughout the event, including prominently on Laver Cup’s instantly recognizable trophy-shaped umpire chair positioned on its signature black court.

“As we make our first investment in global sports sponsorship, we’re proud to partner with an event that has quickly established itself as one of the most distinctive competitions in world sport,” JAB Insurance Chairman Anant Bhalla said when the partnership was announced.

That puts a Miami company alongside an international Laver Cup commercial roster that includes some of the biggest names in luxury, finance and technology — while six of Team World’s top players attempt to bring the trophy back across the Atlantic.

London will mark the Laver Cup’s first return to The O2 since 2022, when Roger Federer played the final competitive match of his career.
