Should Novak Djokovic coach Nick Kyrgios?

When it came time to buy a new TV at home, I went with a Samsung. Why? Well, it turns out Samsung TVs come equipped with a second Tennis Channel called T2. Extra tennis? I'm in.

One of the cooler shows on T2 is called "Good Trouble with Nick Kyrgios" and I recently caught an episode with Kyrgios interviewing Djokovic. It was filmed when the two were together at the Australian Open and it turns out to be a solid interview with the Serbian GOAT.

Kyrgios, it seems, enjoys being the bad guy. The Djoker, however, has a different outlook.

Novak explains, "People think that I thrive on that [negative] energy when somebody doesn't like me or I'm facing adversity on and off the court." He adds, "It's only going to piss you off. I don't want to live in that kind of emotion."

That said, Novak admits, "Sometimes you need to be shaken up to get the best out of yourself. But most of the time, I really want to enjoy life. I want to have a good relationship with people. I really care about this sport."

In fact, Novak believes his approach to tennis could work for Nick. “You get on my six-month routine, daily program, and you win Wimbledon... easy,” Novak said to Nick.

So what's the plan? Novak explains, "I've been developing... [a] unique signature plan and program and journey over the last 15 years, and I want to share this with people."

Later, he adds, "It all starts and ends with your mind, and I think if you're very clear with yourself... the clarity helps set up kind of the routines, the daily goals, the short-term goals, the long-term goals."

As I watched these two players rekindle their "bromance" during the episode it became clear that Novak's the perfect coach for Nick. Look: it could happen someday. You never know. Judge for yourself — watch the full episode below...
