A lot to love on Valentine's Day at the Delray Beach Open

In tennis, love means zero. But that's only in the sport's quirky scoring system. In real life, love means everything. And today is Valentine's Day. So if you're a tennis fan, there's only one place to take your sweetheart — the Delray Beach Open.

Why? Well, there's a lot going on for tennis fans during both the day and night sessions at the ATP 250 tournament. To that end, here's five things to know on Valentine's Day at the DBO.

See last year's champ Taylor Fritz

Taylor Fritz, world ranked No. 9 and the DBO's top seed, plays his opening match tonight as he tries to become the first player since Jason Stoltenberg in 1996-97 to win back-to-back titles at the Delray Beach Open. He opens against a red-hot Nuno Borges, who upset two seeds en route to the Australian Open fourth round last month.

Giron vs Mannarino... again!

It might be a good thing that fourth seed Adrian Mannarino doesn't like to know ahead of time who he plays in the next round, because he faces Marcos Giron who he lost to last week in Dallas 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals. Don't tell him.

A wild card is going wild

Wild card American Patrick Kypson won his first career ATP Tour-level match on Monday in grand fashion, defeating fifth seed and last year's finalist Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets. It was his sixth straight overall match win, after capturing his third title on the Challenger circuit before coming to Delray Beach. If he's out there on the practice courts today, be sure to check him out.

Celebrate Pride Night

In partnership with Stoli Vodka and the South Florida Tennis Club (SFTC) Clay Court Classic, the Delray Beach Open is hosting its third annual PRIDE Night featuring celebrations, DJ, and beverages from Stoli. Over 120 GLT players are expected. And, the official Pride T-shirt and hat will be available for purchase in the DBO merchandise tent.

Book it: Burgers, Bourbon, and Brew

This inaugural event at the DBO takes place from 6-8pm. Guests of this brand-new event will sample some of South Florida’s best burgers, while enjoying beer, wine, and bourbon cocktails from Redwood Empire Whiskey, Kentucky Owl Bourbon, American Icon Brewery, The Cove Brewery and Betty Booze.
