Description
The Backswing Solution™ is a powerful training aid designed to develop a compact, controlled backswing across all strokes. By guiding proper arm positioning and synchronizing both sides of the body, it helps players build efficient, repeatable mechanics for tennis, pickleball, and other racquet sports.
Problem: Many players struggle with oversized backswings, poor timing, and lack of coordination between their arms and body—leading to inconsistent shots, weak contact, and unnecessary strain on the wrists.
Solution: The Backswing Solution™ uses a simple stick-and-harness design to train proper spacing, arm position, and body coordination. It reinforces a compact backswing, improves timing, and helps players feel how to generate power from a balanced, controlled position.
Uses
- Developing proper ready position fundamentals
- Practicing compact volleys with controlled motion
- Improving groundstroke mechanics and fluidity
- Training efficient return of serve technique
- Suitable for beginners learning proper mechanics and advanced players refining stroke efficiency

Instructions
Step 1: Set Up the Harness
- Place the harness across your upper back so it sits comfortably between your shoulders.
- Secure the straps around your arms/shoulders so the device fits snugly but does not restrict movement.
Step 2: Position the Training Stick
- Insert or align the stick horizontally across your back (as shown in images).
- Make sure the stick stays level and centered across your shoulders.
Step 3: Check Your Alignment
- Your elbows should naturally stay in front of your body, not drifting too far back.
- Maintain an athletic stance with knees slightly bent and core engaged.

How to Use
Ready Position
- Hold your racquet in front with both hands.
- The device helps keep your arms and body properly aligned for quicker reactions.
Volleys
- Focus on keeping a short, compact motion.
- The stick prevents you from taking the racquet too far back.
Groundstrokes
- Swing while maintaining controlled rotation.
- Avoid excessive wrist bending—let your body drive the shot.
Return of Serve
- Emphasize a compact backswing.
- Use your legs and body for power rather than your arms alone.
Training Tip
- Use the Backswing Solution™ during short practice sessions.
- Remove it and repeat the same motion to build muscle memory.
Safety Note
- Do not overtighten straps.
- Ensure full range of motion without discomfort.
- Use in open space to avoid hitting objects or others.
