Dave "Koz" Kozlowski

Dave “Koz” Kozlowski is one of the first seventeen Master RSPA (formerly USPTA) professionals in the world. The USTA Florida “Champion of Tennis” award winner is the original coach of Carling Bassett (former # 5 WTA) and and former top 50 WTA player Shawn Stafford. 

Koz was originally recruited by the Laurel Oak Country Club in Sarasota as the club's inaugural Director of Tennis, where he worked with former world No. 1 singles player and winner of 9 Grand Slam titles, Monica Seles, who was the club’s Touring Pro. He's trained over 150 D-I college players including his three children to tournament success nationally and internationally. 

He's the executive producer/host of “Inside Tennis with the “Koz” which aired eight years on Sunshine Network (Fox Sports affiliate), six years on Tennis Channel as one of its “Original Series” and also aired on SNN.

Koz was the first American tennis broadcaster to interview tennis hall of famers Maria Sharapova and Andy Roddick. He was one of seven American journalists selected by the USTA to cover the 2003 Federation Cup in Moscow. 

Kozlowski is also the creator of two instructional tennis videos:  “Master Your Tennis Motor Memory” and “Fundamentally Sound Tennis”.  In September of 2001, he was named the Alex Gordon USPTA National Pro of the Year.  “Koz” was also named the 1999 USTA Broadcaster of the Year. 

The 1978 Alabama Pro of the Year and the 1997 Florida Pro of the Year has been a published author of tennis magazine tips since 1975 and columnist for several national and regional tennis publications including Tennis.com, Tennis Magazine, Florida Tennis Magazine, USPTA’s ADDvantage Magazine, Totally Tennis, 10sballs.com, TennisNow.com and Tennis Life. 

World Tennis Magazine recognized him as “A consummate professional with credentials and an ideal temperament” and cited his tennis programs as “one of the finest family tennis programs in any American tennis destination."
