WTA Foundation Sets the Stage for WTA Finals with Community Development Activities in Riyadh
As the 2025 WTA Finals Riyadh presented by PIF approaches, WTA Foundation has set the stage for the crown jewel of women's tennis with a series of grassroot community development events in Riyadh.
WTA Foundation Executive Director Ann Austin was joined by WTA Community Ambassador Judy Murray, WTA Finals Tournament Director Garbiñe Muguruza and nine-time WTA doubles champion and former Australian #1 Nicole Pratt for high profile activities including:

A month-long series of Breast Cancer Survivor Tennis Clinics launched

WTA Foundation and Morgan Stanley Host Come Play Clinic in New York
The WTA Foundation’s community outreach program, WTA Come Play presented by Morgan Stanley, made its way to New York ahead of the US Open, bringing the sport of tennis to communities citywide. For a third consecutive year, WTA Foundation and Morgan Stanley were proud to join City Parks Foundation (CPF) and the Harlem Junior Tennis & Education Program (HJTEP), hosting tennis clinics and welcoming New York City youth to Morgan Stanley’s Headquarters.
On Tuesday, August 19, girls from HJTEP visited Morgan Stanley’s Headquarters where they heard from leadership, participated in a financial education session and had the opportunity to network with Morgan Stanley employees. Later in the week, local youth from both CPF and HJTEP were also treated to immersive tennis clinics led by WTA Community Ambassador, Judy Murray, alongside WTA players Asia Muhammad, Clervie Ngounoue, Camila Osorio and and Bernarda Pera.

The New York event is a continuation of a yearlong program that will see the WTA Come Play presented by Morgan Stanley program brought to communities worldwide to engage people of all ages and abilities and provide access and opportunity through tennis. Stay tuned for our next stop in Hong Kong!
WTA Foundation ACEing Cancer and Gaby Dabrowski Champion Quebec Breast Cancer Sisterhood
At this year's Omnium Banque Nationale présenté par Rogers, breast cancer survivor and WTA Finals Champion Gaby Dabrowski met with a community of women supported by Fondation Cancer du sein du Quebec. This provided an opportunity to connect with fellow breast cancer survivors and exchange stories and experiences from each other's own breast cancer journey. WTA Foundation ACEing Cancer made a donation of $10,000 CAD to help further Fondation Cancer du sein du Quebec's vision of a future without breast cancer.

WTA Foundation Supports Canadian Centre for Mental Health and Sport
For the second consecutive year, the WTA, in partnership with Tennis Canada, staged panels on mental health at the Omnium Banque Nationale présenté par Rogers. The panels, which included Jessica Pegula, Blair Henley, Tournament Director Valérie Tétreault, coach Mark Gellard and WTA Tour Director of Safeguarding Lindsay Brandon, focused on how players can maintain a healthy presence online in the age of social media while still being able to compete at their highest level. During the panels, the WTA Foundation announced it would make a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Centre for Mental Health and Sport.

WTA Foundation Sponsors 5K in Support of Ovarian Cancer Fighters, Survivors and Research
On September 13th, WTA Foundation was proud to sponsor the Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation's One Step Closer to the Cure Castaway 5K & S.S. Minnow Mile in Saint Petersburg, FL. Proceeds from this event went toward the foundation's Hope Fund, which gives financial assistance to women fighting ovarian cancer in the Tampa Bay community during treatment. WTA Foundation would like to thank Mike Anders, Claire Bourdais and Joan Pennello for their support and participation and also send a special shout out to our beloved former WTA employee Linda Christensen.

WTA Foundation and Ronald McDonald House China Collaboration Receives Prestigious Award
On September 8th, WTA Foundation and Ronald McDonald House China's joint charity campaign Hair for Hope received the “Gold Award” at the 2025 Shanghai International Advertising Festival. Children and their families from Ronald McDonald Houses in China were given a fun project to create works of art centered around tennis balls with each one sporting colorful and creative hairstyles. The finished pieces were put on display at the China Open. Also, as part of this campaign, WTA player Xiyu Wang donated her hair, which will be made into a wig for a child at Ronald McDonald Beijing House who has lost their hair due to treatment.

WTA Players Rallying the World for Good
WTA Foundation would like to give a special shout out to Ons Jabeur, Marta Kostyuk and Magda Linette for the impact they continue to make off the court with their respective foundations. The work each of these women do through philanthropy embodies the WTA Foundation's mission to empower girls and women to live fully. Well done ladies and thank you for being an inspiration both on and off the court!
