USTA Florida Hosted Love to Learn, Enhanced Fan Experience, & More at Davis Cup

The Davis Cup recently returned to Florida, bringing high-level international tennis to the Delray Beach Tennis Center and giving fans a chance to experience the excitement of team competition up close. USTA Florida played a key role throughout the weekend, supporting activations and engaging with the community.

Throughout Friday and Saturday, USTA Florida hosted a booth on site to connect with fans and share information about tennis programs across the state. Staff and volunteers spoke with attendees about youth and adult opportunities, including leagues, tournaments, and community tennis associations.

The booth helped fill the air with USA spirit as those who participated in video testimonials, about why Florida tennis stands out, received free t-shirts and had the chance to win seat upgrades, adding extra excitement to the experience.

Friday’s Kids Day activation was unfortunately canceled due to rain, but the energy picked up again on Saturday with an Adult Love to Learn activation, giving new players a chance to get on court and experience the game in a fun, welcoming environment.

The matches were also great despite the United States coming up a bit short. Florida’s own Austin Krajicek and Reilly Opelka were on the roster and Austin got the play in a Doubles match. He teamed up with Rajeev Ram, who he won an Olympic Silver with, and the pair found success once again, taking down Tomas Machac and Jakub Mensik 7-6, 5-7, 6-4. However, this win wasn’t enough for the United States squad as they fell to the Czech Republic 3-2.

The weekend showcased the strength of Florida’s tennis community and the value of USTA Florida’s presence at major events. From grassroots programming to high-profile competition, the organization continues to grow the game and support players of all ages and abilities.

The Delray Beach Tennis Center continues to be a state-of-the-art facility providing top-tier international tennis for all. USTA Florida was thrilled to be involved and engage the local community by promoting lifelong participation in the sport.
