When people meet 16-year-old Anastasiya Muravia, they often notice her power, elegance, and quiet competitive focus. But what truly sets her apart is the rare combination of resilience, humility, and heart. In just one year, Anastasiya climbed from No. 466 in the USTA Girls’ 16s National Rankings to No. 8 in the United States, and she now holds the position of No. 1 in Florida. Her rise has been as inspiring as it has been remarkable.

Originally from Donetsk, Ukraine, Anastasiya and her family were forced to leave their home when the war began. Arriving in the United States meant starting over — in a new country, a new language, a new reality. Tennis became her anchor, her purpose, and her path forward. Through discipline, determination, and a maturity far beyond her years, she turned hardship into motivation and built a foundation that continues to lift her higher.

The 2025 season became her true breakthrough. She opened the year with a dominant run at the USTA L2 National Championships in Orlando, capturing the title and establishing herself as one of the strongest juniors in the country. She followed this victory with another championship at USTA L3 in Kansas, showing consistency and tremendous mental growth.

Her next major milestone came at the National Clay Court Championships (L1) in Alabama, where she finished 4th, proving her ability to compete among the nation’s elite. Most recently, she captured the prestigious Allstate Sugar Bowl — a performance marked by maturity, athleticism, and calm control in key moments.

Behind these achievements stands a carefully structured training program. Anastasiya works with head coach Christopher Moore, whose player development philosophy is rooted in long-term technical growth. Equally essential is her work with a world-class strength and conditioning specialist, whose program has been central to her physical transformation. She also trains and recovers with the performance team at StretchOn, forming a complete ecosystem tailored for high-level junior development.

One of the defining moments of her young career came during the US Open 2024, where Anastasiya earned the rare opportunity to serve as a hitting partner. Seeing the behind-the-scenes world of a major tournament made a deep impression. Inside the players’ area, she felt the unique rhythm and intensity of elite tennis, meeting stars such as Carlos Alcaraz, Naomi Osaka, Thanasi Kokkinakis, and Grigor Dimitrov.

She later described it as “the moment I understood what being a professional truly means.”

Her connection to the Miami Open 2025 grew even stronger when Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina invited her into the player box during a match. Sitting alongside Gaël Monfils and the coaching team was an unforgettable experience — one that reinforced Anastasiya’s dreams and strengthened her belief in her path.

Beyond her athletic progress, Anastasiya is known for her character and compassion. In 2024, she took part in a charity event supporting children affected by the war in Ukraine. Her involvement came from sincerity, not publicity — she has a long-term dream of creating a foundation to help children through sport.

Her rapid rise has also drawn the attention of top brands. Anastasiya collaborates with HEAD, testing the newest prototypes of the Speed series and providing player feedback as part of their junior development program. Her professionalism and discipline have made her a trusted young athlete for the brand.

Despite her success, Anastasiya remains grounded and kind. Coaches describe her as “a player who works like a professional, competes like a lion, and carries herself with genuine grace.” Whether on a national stage or on a quiet practice court, she brings the same intensity, humility, and gratitude.
