Tennis Star Carlos Alcaraz Expands Brand Portfolio with Ant International Partnership

Carlos Alcaraz is adding another major global partnership to his growing off-court portfolio.

Ant International recently announced the Spanish tennis star as its new Global Brand Ambassador, with Alcaraz set to appear in campaigns across the financial technology company’s key businesses.

The partnership will include Alipay+, Ant International’s global wallet gateway; Antom, its merchant payment platform; and WorldFirst, which provides international account and payment services for businesses.

For Ant International, the collaboration connects one of tennis’ most recognizable players with a global business focused on digital payments, commerce and financial technology.

“Carlos is not only a sporting champion, but the very personification of the core values of tennis for fans worldwide: boundless ambition, unwavering dedication, scalpel precision in delivery, and sportsmanship both on and off the court,” said Peng Yang, CEO of Ant International.

Alcaraz said the company’s focus on expanding access to financial services was an important part of the partnership.

“Throughout my career, I’ve learned that the greatest impact is made when we push boundaries and strive for excellence,” Alcaraz said. “What truly drew me to Ant International is their unwavering commitment to financial inclusivity.”

The agreement adds another category to Alcaraz’s increasingly broad commercial presence away from the court, as the multiple Grand Slam champion continues to emerge as one of the most marketable athletes in global tennis.

Ant International operates in more than 30 offices worldwide and provides cross-border payment and digital services to merchants, financial institutions and small businesses.

The company says its platforms connect more than 150 million merchants with over two billion user accounts globally, while also providing account services to 1.6 million small and medium-sized businesses.

For Alcaraz, the partnership further extends his reach beyond traditional racquet-sports endorsements and into the global technology and financial-services sectors.
