Strong lineup announced for Infosys Hall of Fame Open in Newport

What's coming after the grass at Wimbledon? The grass in Rhode Island. The American tournament, the only grass court stop on the ATP Tour outside of Europe, will take place July 14-21 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I., U.S.A.

So who's playing? Top 25 players Alexander Bublik and Adrian Mannarino, alongside Floridian Reilly Opelka as a wild card, will return to the Infosys Hall of Fame Open. In addition, 2023 Infosys Hall of Fame Open finalist Alex Michelsen, Australia’s Jordan Thompson and Americans Christopher Eubanks and Marcos Giron round out the top of the draw.  

Current world No. 17 Bublik and 2023 Infosys Hall of Fame Open champion Mannarino top the field of entries. Bublik enters the grass season with a career-high ranking and won his fourth ATP title in January at Montpellier. With an impressive 9-3 record at the Infosys Hall of Fame Open, Bublik will look to capture the Van Alen Cup after reaching the final in both 2019 and 2022.

Mannarino returns to defend his 2023 Infosys Hall of Fame Open title and make his 11th career appearance in Newport. Currently No. 21 in the PIF ATP Rankings, the Frenchman won 43 matches and three championships in 2023. Earlier this year, Mannarino reached the round of 16 at the Australian Open.

Newport will be Opelka’s first ATP Tour event since 2022, having recovered from a hip surgery that sidelined him for most of the 2023 season. A four-time singles champion on tour, he was the highest ranked American in 2021 and reached a career-high ranking of No. 17 after capturing the title in Dallas in February 2022.

Michelsen made a splash in Newport last summer in his first ATP Tour main draw, reaching the final and turning professional shortly after. Thompson, who will make his seventh appearance at the Infosys Hall of Fame Open, won his first career title earlier this season in Los Cabos.

“We are excited to welcome familiar faces and newcomers alike to Newport next month as we gear up for another incredible Infosys Hall of Fame Open,” said Tournament Director Brewer Rowe. “In addition to the many staples of tournament that fans anticipate, we are looking forward to sharing with our local community what is next for professional tennis at the International Hall of Fame in 2025 during the week.”

Infosys Hall of Fame Open tickets can be purchased online or by calling the tournament box office at (401) 849-6053. Single-session tickets start at $48 for adults, with series tickets including access to the same seats for all seven days of the tournament starting at $409. All ticketed fans receive unlimited access to the museum, fan village, Sipsmith Lawn, and on-site vendors. 

New this year, fans can enhance their Infosys Hall of Fame Open experience by adding on access to the 1881 Club. The 1881 Club offers complimentary food and beverage, with views for tennis action on the shaded Horseshoe Piazza. Daily access to the Club begins at $150 per day and is available from Monday, July 15 through Thursday, July 18.
