Dunlop Demo Energizes Orlando Tennis Community

Dunlop Demo Energizes Orlando Tennis Community

The Orlando Tennis Centre (OTC) recently hosted a Dunlop racquet review, drawing players of all ages for a day of play, music, and hands-on equipment testing. The event coincided with the International Day for Tolerance, National Philanthropy Day, and the close of World Kindness Week, highlighting the role of sport in fostering community connection and fellowship.

“It was awesome to see our tennis community enjoying themselves together,” said Liam Gomez, founder of the TennisCloud app and former Trinidad and Tobago Davis Cup team member.

“We were able to play almost three hours of tennis, listen to some great music, enjoy the beautiful facility and demo some new Dunlop racquets. Thanks to everyone who made this happen,” said Gomez.

DJ Mad Linx, Florida Tennis’ host and entertainment director, provided music and emceed the event. “As the host and DJ for the Dunlop Demo Day at OTC, it was incredible to witness an event of this magnitude and energy right here in the beautiful city of Orlando,” he said.

“The Orlando Tennis Centre truly stands as a crown jewel for our state and for the sport of tennis. The diverse cross-section of attendees made the day even more special, and partnering with Dunlop brought an added layer of excitement and quality to the experience,” said Linx.

“Events like this not only celebrate our tennis community, they help shape the future of the sport at the recreational level.”

Jack Veber, Dunlop’s regional sales manager for racquet sports, said the demo helped educate participants on racquet technology and the evolution of the game.

“I believe that the event was a great way to bring the Orlando community together to play tennis, meet one another, and become educated on the evolution of tennis in Orlando with racquet technology and an all-new community-driven app,” Veber said.

Thirteen-year-old competitive junior Sebastian Holmes traveled from Miramar, Florida, and had the chance to rally with top-ranked juniors Ethan Su and Sohith Tella. “Players of all ages hit together, and I even rallied with people I’d never met before. The music, energy, and chance to test real pro-level gear made the day unforgettable,” he said.

OTC member Victor “Shegs” Olusegun Adeniji said the event highlighted the social side of tennis.

“I think the Dunlop event was really refreshing. It reminded one that tennis really is a social event. It brings people together,” said Adeniji, who recently began using a Dunlop racquet.

“By sheer serendipity, this event came along,” Adeniji said. “Maybe I’ll become an ambassador for the brand.”

Organizers said the event reflected OTC’s and the City of Orlando’s commitment to using sport as a unifying force, providing a welcoming space for players, families, and community members to connect and share in the joy of tennis.
