Miami Open Week 2: What's happening on Friday?

The men’s semifinals are set after dominant performances by the top two remaining seeds on Thursday.

No. 2 seed Jannik Sinner eased past Frances Tiafoe, and No. 3 Alexander Zverev was a quick winner over Francisco Cerundolo.

In women’s action, Coco Gauff moved into her first Miami final with a decisive win over Karolina Muchova. Defending champion and world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka ousted world No. 2 Elena Rybakina. Sabalenka has won 11 matches in a row in Miami without dropping a set

Friday features the men’s semifinals with 24-year-old Jiri Lehecka taking on 21-year-old Arthur Fils in the day session. Fils, who will appear in his first Masters 1000 semifinal, just beat Lehecka in Doha last month.

At night, 2024 champion Jannik Sinner will face Alexander Zverev. Sinner leads 7-4 in career meetings and has won their last six matches.

The men’s and women’s doubles semifinals will also be played on Friday, as well as the Miami Open WT500 wheelchair finals.

Coco Gauff will take the court against Aryna Sabalenka in Saturday’s final at 3:00 pm.
