Luciano Darderi Drives His Tennis Ambition With Yokohama

Luciano Darderi has been one of the fastest-rising names in men’s tennis. Yokohama Tyres clearly likes the trajectory.

The Japanese tire brand has made the 24-year-old Italian a prominent piece of its growing tennis presence, putting its logo on Darderi’s sleeve and building a “Drive the Game” campaign around a player who has climbed as high as No. 16 in the world.

The partnership officially began at Wimbledon this summer. More recently, Yokohama brought Darderi into the spotlight away from the baseline with new content filmed in Milan, including a striking shoot at the Terrazza dell’Orologio overlooking the Duomo.

It is an interesting match. Yokohama has spent decades selling performance through ideas such as grip, control and responsiveness. Those words translate unusually well to tennis, particularly when attached to a player whose rise has been powered by aggressive movement and heavy baseline tennis.

“Joining the Yokohama world reflects closely how I approach tennis and competition,” Darderi said when the partnership was announced. “I focus on intensity, consistency and staying clear-minded in key moments.”

Darderi has given Yokohama plenty to work with. He won his first ATP Tour title in Córdoba in 2024 and has since pushed his career total to five. In May, he reached a career-high No. 16 after making his first ATP Masters 1000 semifinal in Rome, where he defeated Alexander Zverev for his first Top 5 victory. Later in the summer, Darderi reached another final in Bastad and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Masters 1000 event in Montreal.

Florida Tennis fans have also had a look at him up close. Darderi was part of the 2026 Miami Open field, one of seven Italians in the men’s draw.

For Yokohama, however, the attraction goes beyond results.

“We invest in initiatives that express energy, credibility and ambition while strengthening our presence across the region,” Yokohama Europe president Gregorio Borgo said in announcing the agreement. “Luciano embodies these values authentically.”

The Milan campaign suggests Yokohama sees something larger than a logo-placement deal. Darderi is being presented as a face of the brand: young, international, stylish and increasingly recognizable on the biggest stages in tennis.

That sleeve is starting to look like valuable real estate.
