Junior Tennis Returns to Cincinnati Open Finals Weekend Courtesy of ellesse

The Cincinnati Open will once again put junior tennis in the spotlight during Finals Weekend. 

The tournament will host the ellesse Junior Championships, a USTA-sanctioned national tournament for boys and girls 18-and-under, from Aug. 21-23 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

Organized by the Cincinnati Tennis Foundation in partnership with the Cincinnati Open and ellesse, the event is a National Level 3 USTA tournament featuring a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles field selected by national ranking.

Last year’s junior tournament featured players from 27 states, including Puerto Rico. Mason, Ohio local Vibha Gogineni won the girls’ title, while New York’s Jack Reis captured the boys’ championship.

The junior tournament will take place alongside the Cincinnati Open’s semifinal and championship matches, giving fans a chance to watch some of the nation’s top young players compete on the same campus as the world’s best professionals.

Finals Weekend, presented by Credit One Bank, will take place Aug. 22-23 and will include a reimagined fan experience across the campus, including exclusive merchandise, special performances and programming.

“There's no better stage for these young players than the same courts as the world's best, on the biggest weekend of our tournament,” said Cincinnati Open Tournament Director Bob Moran. “We hope the experience of competing, watching and learning alongside the pros stays with them long after they leave Cincinnati."

The junior singles and doubles finalists will receive tickets to the Cincinnati Open men’s and women’s finals on Aug. 23.

The Cincinnati Open was named the 1000 Tournament of the Year by ATP and WTA players in 2025. It is one of five tournaments to host both men and women simultaneously at the ATP and WTA 1000 level, one tier below the Grand Slams.

The recently transformed Lindner Family Tennis Center now features 31 outdoor courts, allowing the venue to host the ellesse Junior Championships alongside one of the world’s premier professional tennis tournaments.

Junior matches will take place on Courts 4-18 on the north end of the campus, beginning at 8 a.m. on Aug. 21 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 22. Final matches are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Aug. 23.

The venue operates year-round as the Cincinnati Open Sporting Club and will host more than 10 junior and wheelchair tournaments in 2026.
