Strong performances by Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Jasmine Paolini led Italy to a repeat Billie Jean King Cup title on Sunday in Shenzhen with a 2-0 victory over the United States.

Led by Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro, this U.S. team made its best run in Billie Jean King Cup since 2018 by reaching the final.

The American team will next compete in a home-and-away qualifier in 2026 against an opponent and at a location to be determined.
