Florida Tennis appears on USTA Florida's 'Here to Serve' podcast

USTA Florida and Florida Tennis magazine are a great team. You've probably seen some fascinating stories appear on this blog featuring articles from USTA Florida. And each issue of Florida Tennis magazine showcases a six-page special section — packed with exclusive USTA Florida news about tennis in the Sunshine State.
So it's no wonder the two entities teamed up for an episode USTA Florida's popular "Here To Serve" podcast. In turn, USTA Florida’s Executive Director Laura Bowen sat down with Matt Pressman, Editor and Publisher of Florida Tennis Magazine. And the episode reveals some big news.
What's the big scoop? The July-August issue of Florida Tennis will be completely dedicated to USTA Florida'a 75th anniversary. Check out the details revealed during the podcast about this forthcoming collector's edition of Florida Tennis.

During the episode, Matt also opens up about his childhood passion for tennis that began at age 6. Learn about his Florida roots playing at Saddlebrook Resort's Harry Hopman Tennis Academy. Later, Matt's high school team won the state championship in Connecticut and Matt received a D1 scholarship and served as captain of UCONN's tennis team.
Matt also discusses his early magazine experience in New York City. Fast forward to his forties and he "reunited" with tennis as a senior player and avid reader (and subscriber) of Florida Tennis Magazine. That love for the magazine eventually became his calling.
