Florida State Tennis Adds Kin Insurance in Four-Year Athletics Partnership
Sep 15, 2026
Florida State tennis is getting a new look — and a new major commercial partner.
Kin Insurance has signed a four-year partnership with Florida State Athletics that will put the company’s logo on the uniforms of the Seminoles’ men’s and women’s tennis teams, along with teams across nearly the entire FSU athletic department.
The agreement covers 18 varsity programs beginning with the 2026–27 season. Kin becomes the first brand to secure a jersey patch across the broader Florida State athletic program and also becomes FSU Athletics’ preferred insurance partner.

The patch made its first appearance Sept. 7 when Florida State football faced SMU before rolling out across the additional sports, including both tennis programs.
For Kin, the deal represents a significant investment in a state that already sits at the center of its business. The direct-to-consumer insurance and home finance company began offering home insurance in Florida in 2017, and Florida remains its largest market.
“Kin’s Florida roots and commitment to serving people across the state make this a natural partnership for Florida State,” said Michael Alford, vice president and director of athletics at Florida State University. “Kin’s investment will help us continue creating meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes, while supporting the competitive excellence and proud tradition of Florida State Athletics.”

The sponsorship also places another sizable consumer brand directly inside college tennis, where jersey real estate and other commercial assets are taking on increasing value across collegiate athletics.
Kin co-founder and CEO Sean Harper pointed specifically to the company’s continued commitment to Florida.
“We continue to grow and invest here even when the market gets tough,” Harper said. “That combination of ambition and resilience is what we admire about Florida State. We’re proud to support FSU and continue investing in Florida.”
The agreement was facilitated by Legends Global in collaboration with Florida State Athletics.
