Fast Track Tennis Launches the 1-2-3 Method to Make Tennis More Accessible

Fast Track Tennis, the patented portable training system for practicing tennis anywhere, announced the launch of the 1-2-3 Method, a learn-to-play instructional program designed to break down barriers and help new players enter the game faster and with more confidence.

This first-of-its-kind program trains instructors to introduce tennis fundamentals to beginners through the simple and fun 1-2-3 Method, which can be set up in any location, such as a school gym—no tennis court required. Traditionally, learning tennis has felt out of reach for many, with limited court access and expensive lessons keeping them from getting started. With this new program, players gain instant access to thousands of real-ball hits across just 10 short classes, building muscle memory and confidence to make their first steps into the sport as easy as possible.

“Even as tennis becomes more inclusive, the industry still falls behind in accessibility for underserved and under-resourced communities,” said John Davey, CEO and Founder of Fast Track Tennis. “Our new program aims to solve this issue with a low-cost, high-activity approach that gives players the foundational tools, access, and confidence to truly enjoy the game from the start.”

The 1-2-3 Method

The 1-2-3 Method is a 10-class curriculum built around live-ball hitting that delivers up to 3,000 repetitions per student before they even step onto a real court. Using portable Fast Track Tennis machines, the program can be set up in gyms, cafeterias, hallways, classrooms, basements, or other non-traditional spaces—making it ideal for physical education classes, after-school programs, Boys & Girls Clubs, community centers, and more.

With a focus on “training the trainer” in tennis fundamentals, a simple e-learning certification with video instruction makes it possible for non-tennis players to become effective learn-to-play coaches in just a few days. Each partner receives everything needed to run the program: Fast Track Tennis devices, junior rackets, a mini-net, foam balls, cones, floor targets, trainer certification, a class-by-class lesson plan, and instructional videos.

Zina Garrison Partners with Fast Track Tennis

Former professional tennis star Zina Garrison has joined Fast Track Tennis to support the program’s mission of making tennis accessible to all. Her own journey began in Houston through a free community program, which eventually led to a Wimbledon singles final and Olympic gold. That experience inspired her lifelong goal of opening doors for young players and underserved communities.

“I know firsthand the challenges aspiring tennis players face in communities with limited resources,” said Zina Garrison. “That’s why I believe so strongly in Fast Track Tennis as one of the best tools to break down barriers, grow the game, and give kids everywhere the chance to fall in love with tennis just like I did. Together, we can inspire the next generation of lifelong tennis players.”
