Delray Beach Youth Tennis Foundation announces 3rd annual 'Center Court Under the Stars' event fundraiser

Delray Beach Youth Tennis Foundation recently announced their 3rd annual "Center Court Under the Stars" event fundraiser at the Tennis Stadium in Delray Beach, FL, on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 6 to 9pm.
This year promises to be the biggest event yet as incorporating USTA Florida's 75th Anniversary into its program. Chuck Gill, USTA Florida President, will be bringing guest speakers and a commemorative video and Kevin Anderson, US Open and Wimbledon finalist, will be returning for his third year playing in the Pro-Am.

The theme of the event is to bring together Delray's and Boca's "finest" in a fun and spirited pro/am with Kevin Anderson and another ATP pro, where one police representative from Delray and one from Boca, who play tennis, will partner with the ATP pros. Then 4 pros, 2 representing Delray and 2 representing Boca will play an exhibition match.
The atmosphere will be similar to World Team Tennis and Laver Cup. Delray's police dept. and fire dept. will also be present with a fire truck, police car and motorcycle for our kids and attendees to view. In addition, Atlantic and Boca High School cheerleader teams will participate. The purpose is to build lasting bonds between our diverse communities and institutions.

The Delray Beach Youth Tennis Foundation makes a weekly impact on the lives of over 100 children weekly in our communities encompassing Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Boynton Beach and all the way to Lake Worth, bringing tennis, life skills and education to our under-served children.
The Delray Beach Youth Tennis Foundation also has a relationship with FAU, Lynn University, Boca High School and Pinecrest, recruiting their student/athletes as assistant coaches and tutors as well as volunteers who use the organization to fulfill community service hours.

In addition, the Delray Beach Youth Tennis Foundation has received the Outstanding Diversity Achievement Award from the USTA and also first place recognition in community service through "YellowTennisBall.com" — the organizers at the Delray Beach Open.
This year, its kids were chosen to participate in the ceremony of the renovation of the Pompey Park tennis courts in Delray Beach honoring Coco Gauff. Delray Beach's Mayor Shelly Petrolia and City Manager Terence Moore were present at the event. Among the executives present representing USTA and USTA Foundation were USTA Chairman of the Board and President, Dr. Brian Hainline. The Today Show was also present to showcase the event.
