David Ensignia Tennis Academy Hosts Prestigious USTA Florida Sunshine Series Wheelchair Tennis Tournament

The David Ensignia Tennis Academy is gearing up to showcase the skills and spirit of top wheelchair tennis players on March 23–24 at the USTA Florida Sunshine Series Wheelchair Tournament at Continental Park Tennis Center.

The Florida Sunshine Series spans three weekends in March, culminating at Continental Park, 10000 SW 82nd Ave. Each tournament host is known for their contribution to tennis and furthering wheelchair tennis in their communities. The winner of the Sunshine Series at Continental Park will toss the coin before a match at the Miami Open.

The USTA Florida Sunshine Series brings together players of all ages to vie for top prizes and valuable International Tennis Federation rankings, making each match a pursuit of excellence. Wheelchair tennis, a rapidly growing sport worldwide, seamlessly blends with the traditional game, allowing players to showcase their skills on a standard court without any modifications to racquets or court. The winner of the Sunshine Series at Continental Park will flip the coin before a match at the Miami Open on Sunday, March 24.

David Ensignia Tennis Academy hosts a weekly wheelchair tennis program at the Continental Park Tennis Center, situated at 10000 SW 82nd Ave. Up to 12 players compete in matches and participate in clinics led by Rodrigo Espejo, a tennis instructor with the academy.
