Billie Jean King Cup Returns to Delray Beach for USA vs. Hungary
Aug 21, 2026
The Billie Jean King Cup is coming back to Delray Beach — and the United States will once again have home court in South Florida.
The U.S. Billie Jean King Cup Team will face Hungary at the Delray Beach Tennis Center on November 21–22 in a pivotal playoff at the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge, bringing one of international tennis’ signature team competitions back to Palm Beach County.
There is plenty at stake. The winner of the best-of-five-match tie moves back into the qualifying pool with an opportunity to compete for the Billie Jean King Cup championship in 2027.

For the Americans, Delray Beach has been very friendly territory.
The U.S. Billie Jean King Cup Team is 4-0 all-time at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. Its most recent appearance came in 2023, when South Florida stars Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula helped the United States sweep Austria in front of near sell-out crowds.
This year’s U.S. team will be captained by International Tennis Hall of Famer Lindsay Davenport, who guided the Americans to the Billie Jean King Cup final in 2025.
The actual lineup remains part of the intrigue. The United States and Hungary can each name as many as five players, with rosters due no later than four weeks before the competition.

Saturday will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET with two singles matches featuring each country’s top two nominated players. Sunday’s action, also beginning at 1:30 p.m., is scheduled to open with doubles followed by two additional singles matches if needed. The first country to win three matches takes the tie.
Tennis Channel will carry the competition in the United States.
The event is another significant international tennis showcase in Delray Beach. Last September’s Davis Cup competition between the United States and Czechia generated more than $2 million for the local economy, according to the USTA.
“The Billie Jean King Cup is one of the most prestigious events in global tennis, and we are honored to welcome the World Cup of Tennis back to The Palm Beaches,” said George Linley, Executive Director of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
Two-day ticket packages go on sale to the general public August 21 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, with packages starting at $50.
For Delray Beach, it’s another chance to welcome Team USA back to a venue where the American women have never lost.
