Baha Mar Tennis Cup Returns With John McEnroe, Pro-Am and Four Days of Island Tennis

The tennis calendar is getting another December escape.

The seventh annual Baha Mar Tennis Cup will return to Nassau Dec. 10–13, bringing four days of tennis, clinics, exhibitions, celebrity competition and resort life to the Bahamas. 

John McEnroe and Bahamian tennis great Mark Knowles will again host the event, which benefits the Baha Mar Resort Foundation and Mark Knowles Children's Tennis Initiative. The 2026 professional and celebrity lineup has not yet been announced.

The weekend has become one of tennis' more distinctive destination events, combining serious court time with the kind of access that is harder to find at a traditional tournament. Guests can participate in clinics, compete alongside visiting professionals in the Pro-Am, watch singles and doubles exhibitions and attend a Celebrity Pro-Am pairing eight celebrities with eight tennis professionals.

“The Baha Mar Tennis Cup has evolved into a cornerstone signature event, blending exceptional competition and exclusive insider experiences with meaningful philanthropic impact,” Baha Mar President Graeme Davis said.

The schedule begins Thursday with afternoon clinics and a welcome reception at Rosewood Baha Mar. Friday brings the signature Pro-Am Tournament and pro exhibition, while Saturday features VIP clinics, the Celebrity Pro-Am and the Baha Mar Foundation Dinner. A complimentary kids clinic for local players closes the weekend Sunday.

Baha Mar is offering three- and four-night packages at Rosewood Baha Mar and Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, including Pro-Am and VIP spectator options. Depending on the package, guests receive accommodations, airport transfers, clinic access, VIP seating, receptions and other weekend events.

The event raised more than $300,000 in 2025 for youth tennis programs and community initiatives across the Bahamas, according to Baha Mar.

Past Tennis Cup fields have included Tommy Paul, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Andy Roddick, Taylor Townsend, Victoria Azarenka, James Blake, Genie Bouchard, Austin Krajicek, Sabine Lisicki, Milos Raonic and Donna Vekić.

The resort's John McEnroe Tennis Center features six hard courts, two Har-Tru clay courts, six dedicated pickleball courts and two padel courts, making tennis more than a cameo in the Baha Mar experience.
