Taylor Fritz Is Back for the 2027 Delray Beach Open, and He’s Chasing History

Two titles. One city. A chance to make history.

Taylor Fritz is officially returning to the Delray Beach Open for its 35th anniversary, February 12–21, 2027, and the American star has his sights set on something no player has accomplished in tournament history: a third singles title.

Already a back-to-back champion in 2023 and 2024, Fritz has made Delray Beach one of his favorite stops on the ATP Tour. Now, he's coming back for more.

“Delray is always a special week for me, and I’m excited to be back for the 35th anniversary,” Fritz said. “I’ve had some incredible moments here, and I’m ready to make some more in 2027.”

The 28-year-old has plenty of reasons to feel confident. His 2026 campaign has featured four finals, including appearances in Dallas, Stuttgart, Halle and Washington, D.C., where he captured his 11th career ATP title. He also reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals, adding another strong grass-court showing to his résumé.

But Delray Beach brings out something special in Fritz.

In 2023, he lifted his first trophy at the tournament. A year later, he successfully defended it without dropping a set, becoming just the second player to win consecutive Delray Beach Open titles after Jason Stoltenberg in 1996 and 1997.

His ninth appearance in 2027 could be the one that puts him in a league of his own.

And the tournament's 35th anniversary is shaping up to be quite the celebration.

Opening weekend, February 12–14, will bring a star-studded Legends Event featuring Andy Roddick, Bob and Mike Bryan, Tommy Haas, and Luke and Murphy Jensen. Roddick will also receive a special honor on February 12, when he's inducted into the Delray Beach Open Walk of Fame following his evening Legends match.

Qualifying takes place February 13–14, with main-draw action running February 15–21.

Beyond the baseline, the Delray Beach Open Food & Wine Series returns for its eighth year, bringing some of South Florida's top restaurants and culinary experiences courtside. Add in special events, player appearances and the atmosphere of downtown Delray Beach, and there's plenty to enjoy between matches.

The tournament is also coming off a memorable 2026 edition, which featured eight top-30 players and an all-American final that saw Sebastian Korda defeat Tommy Paul.

With Fritz the first announced player for 2027 and more names expected in the coming weeks, the anniversary edition is already building anticipation.

One thing is certain: Fritz knows how to win in Delray Beach.

Now, he's coming back to make it three.
