Ladies and Gentlemen, Messieurs est Madames, for your perusal and enjoyment, Florida Tennis would like to present to you a demonstration of the shot that was once the rage of the courts, but has seen the number of players utilizing this classic stroke dwindle over the years so much that it is now on the verge of extinction!
We present to you now “Anatomy of a Backhand; a pictorial illustration of the one-hander as performed by Stan Wawrinka at this year’s US Open”. Behold and be amazed by the majesty, the brute power, and the sheer elegance of this stroke, and pray that there will be those who ensure it’s survival.
