American Tennis Circuit to Launch Women’s Professional Tennis at University of Miami
Aug 03, 2026
A new women’s pro tennis circuit is set to launch in South Florida this November, with the American Tennis Circuit scheduled to hold its premiere tournament at the University of Miami.
The Boca Raton-based American Tennis Circuit is being built as a U.S.-based pathway for elite women’s players, including WTA-ranked athletes looking for more opportunities to compete, earn and develop closer to home.
"Tennis is full of women who can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the world and still walk away beaten not by an opponent, but by the cost and chaos of chasing the tour overseas," said Nicholas Konjevic, Vice President of the American Tennis Circuit. "We built the ATC to change that math."
ATC says its mission is to help address the financial, travel and logistical challenges that often make it difficult for talented players to continue pursuing professional tennis. By staging events in the United States, the circuit aims to provide a more sustainable path for players trying to climb the professional ranks.
The inaugural ATC season is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and will include up to 20 events across U.S. university campuses. The circuit is designed to connect the junior, collegiate and emerging professional ranks while giving players a domestic competition platform.

ATC pointed to Poland’s Maja Chwalińska as an example of the kind of player the circuit hopes to support. Chwalińska produced one of the most surprising runs of the 2026 tennis season, reaching the Roland Garros final after coming through qualifying as the world No. 114.
The ATC says stories like Chwalińska’s show the depth of talent in women’s tennis beyond the very top of the rankings — and the importance of creating more professional opportunities for players working to stay in the game.
The organization has also appointed Shamrock Sports & Entertainment as its corporate partnerships agency. Shamrock will be tasked with helping ATC attract blue-chip brands and build a commercial platform around the new women’s tennis circuit.
The agency’s work will be led by Shamrock CEO Brian Corcoran, whose background includes leadership roles at NASCAR and Fenway Sports Management. ATC selected Shamrock to help expand awareness of the circuit and generate partnership opportunities for athletes, sponsors and stakeholders.
"We are proud to partner with an organization that shares our vision for the future of women's sports," said Corcoran, CEO of Shamrock Sports & Entertainment. "ATC's commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for elite female athletes while connecting brands with a highly engaged and influential audience aligns perfectly with our mission."
"Together, we are building more than a tennis tour, we are creating a platform that elevates athletes, inspires the next generation, and delivers measurable value to partners," Corcoran added. "We are confident that corporate leaders, community stakeholders, and purpose-driven brands will join us in helping grow the ATC into one of the premier pathways for women's professional tennis."
The American Tennis Circuit describes itself as a new professional women’s tennis circuit created to keep elite talent competing and developing on American soil. The organization said its model is built around the continued growth of tennis participation in the United States, with more than 27 million Americans now playing tennis and the USTA targeting 35 million players by 2035.
Shamrock Sports & Entertainment is a privately owned sports marketing and sales agency based in Portland, Maine. The agency specializes in corporate partnership and multimedia sales across sports and entertainment properties.
