Alex de Minaur Joins Ralph Lauren’s Tennis World

Few brands have made tennis look as good as Ralph Lauren.

For more than two decades, the Polo pony has been woven into the visual identity of the US Open, from the uniforms worn around the grounds to collections that turn tournament style into something fans can take home.

Now Ralph Lauren has another tennis name in its orbit: Alex de Minaur.

According to Jessica Schiffer at Hard Court, the Australian star has joined Ralph Lauren as a brand ambassador adding one of the sport’s most recognizable players to a brand already deeply embedded in tennis culture.

It is an easy fit.

De Minaur brings the kind of polished, understated presence that feels at home in Ralph Lauren’s world — classic without looking stiff, sporty without losing the sense of occasion that has always separated tennis from most other games.

And the timing could hardly be better.

Ralph Lauren’s relationship with the US Open began in 2005, and the company and USTA recently extended that partnership through 2032. The brand remains the tournament’s Official Outfitter, dressing on-court officials and ball crew while continuing to build seasonal collections around one of New York’s signature sporting events.

That longevity matters. Ralph Lauren has never treated tennis as a passing fashion moment. The sport’s mix of tradition, performance, travel and style has been part of the brand’s language for years, particularly on the biggest stages.

De Minaur now gives that story a contemporary player connection just as another US Open approaches.

He arrives with plenty of what makes Ralph Lauren work in tennis in the first place: international appeal, clean style and a natural comfort in the more glamorous side of the sport.

For Ralph Lauren, it is another elegant step deeper into tennis.

For tennis, it is another reminder that what happens around the court can be nearly as stylish as what happens on it.
