2025 Delray Beach Open Delivers with Top Tennis, Food and Entertainment

The 2025 Delray Beach Open was one for the record books! Now in its 33rd year, the tournament celebrated over 50,000 fans in attendance, while also being seen by millions of fans worldwide in over 135 countries.

On the court, Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic pulled oH the rare double win at the 2025 Delray Beach Open, taking home the beautiful new championship trophies in both singles and doubles. He is only the fourth player in the history of the event to win both in the same year. He did it in dramatic fashion, saving two match points against him when trailing 2-5 in the deciding set against Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina to give the packed crowd a thrilling final. He and first-time partner Brandon Nakashima then stopped the 7-match win streak of Americans Christian Harrison and Evan King to win the doubles title.

Top seed Taylor Fritz’s bid for a historic three-peat at the DBO was stopped short by Davidovich Fokina in the quarterfinals, 7-6, 7-6. Earlier in the week, the tournament tied records with four seeds in the semifinals, seven seeds in the quarterfinals and nine Americans reaching the second round.

Meanwhile, oH the court, the 2025 Delray Beach Open Food & Wine Series (“DBOFWS”) was also an extraordinary success, captivating attendees with its expanded lineup of culinary events that sold out across the board. This year's series featured an array of tasting events, luncheons, brunches, and cocktail receptions, showcasing over 40 of South Florida's premier restaurants, food purveyors, and spirit partners.

The festivities commenced with the 17th Annual Chamber Bash on February 10, oHering exclusive networking opportunities complemented by culinary delights from top local establishments. The excitement continued with the tournament’s Grand Tasting Event, where guests indulged in fine cuisine from VIP Caterers, enjoyed a full open bar, and a special appearance from Taylor Fritz.

Fan favorites like Burgers, Bourbon, and Brew on and Tacos, Tequila, and Tennis returned, allowing attendees to savor and vote for the best burgers, tacos and tequila cocktails in South Florida while enjoying a selection of beers, wines, bourbon, tequila and specialty cocktails. The first event celebrating Valentine’s Day, Valentine's & Volleys: A Taste of Italy, oHered couples a romantic evening featuring gourmet Italian dishes paired with fine wines and Aperol Spritz cocktails.

On championship weekend, Championship Brunches provided upscale dining experiences with bottomless Bloody Mary’s and mimosas, setting the stage for the day's tennis matches. The DBOFWS culminated with the Game, Set, Pour on February 15, the ultimate pairing event featuring unlimited samplings of the finest beers, wines, spirits, and culinary creations from local restaurants and bars.

The overwhelming demand for these events led to all sessions selling out, underscoring the community's enthusiasm and the series' exceptional offerings. The 2025 Delray Beach Open Food & Wine Series not only delighted the palates of its attendees but also solidified its status as a premier culinary and social event in South Florida.

The Delray Beach Open is not only known for world-class tennis and extraordinary events, but for giving back to the local community that hosts the tournament each year. Special events from the Delray Beach Open Food & Wine Series often support local causes, including Tacos, Tequila and Tennis, in which a portion of the proceeds benefitted nonprofit Love Serving Autism and Game, Set, Pour, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Community Classroom Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that makes learning less stressful for students, parent, families, educators and communities.

Opening weekend of the Delray Beach Open also included USTA Florida Kids Day where local children and their families were invited to win prizes and participate in tennis games and open play onsite at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center. Additionally, the tournament featured a Food Drive on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, sponsored by Your South Florida BMW Centers, in which a donation of 10 non-perishable food items earned fans a free seat for the day’s tennis session.

Proceeds benefitted KOP Mentoring Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to character-building, mentorship, and gang prevention program in local youth. The tournament also recognized teachers, military, first responders and seniors with discounts and complimentary tickets throughout the tournament.
